The MGB GT was a hardtop version of the legendary MGB; It traded sunshine for torsional rigidity and a small back seat. This flared and bumperless example is V8 powered tire shredding machine that and rides on wheels straight from the Trans-Am racing catalog — and is just about perfect.

This year the internet has been surprisingly full of well modified versions of MG's hartop MGB GT. For recap, you've seen the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a nicely done !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and late last year we found a lime green !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It is important to point out that all three of those cars went for less than the sum of their parts — it seems that the MGB GT market is refreshingly free of the rampant speculation that plagues 911, 2002 & GTV markets as of late. Find this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! currently bidding for $10,100 reserve-not-met on eBay, located in Valencia, CA with 3 days to go. Tip from Patrick.

Nothing quite like taking photos of your hot rod parking in the middle of a multi-lane public road, squarely on top of freshly laid donut stripes on the pavement. Nothing to see here, just taking some photos officer, that isn't rubber smoke in the air. A lot of money has been poured into this thing, anything you pay for this will be half the cost to build it...and that is money well spent.

Under the hood is a 331 cubic inch small block Ford V8 that has been built and modified to push out a respectable 425 horsepower on pump gas according to the seller. In the lightweight MGB chassis, this thing should be downright frightening, and the 11 second 1/4 mile numbers quote by the seller verify this fact.

Steering is accomplished via a Fast Cars Inc coilover setup that includes motor mounts for the Ford V8, plus a rack-and-pinion steering setup and a thick hollow sway bar. The inside has been given some new parts as well, it really looks ready to cruise down to your local car show and make some friends.

Those wheels are perfect. Wouldn't expect them to work so well since they are something you normally would find on a '69-70 Mustang...but damn...

Not sure what a Sebring Evocation is, but it sounds like something that will require a priest. Those wheels are...errr...something else! Swap them for minilites!!

Considering a base MGB is something like 63hp, this is an... improvement.

Freaking cool. Love the MGB-GT body, love big powah V8s. But I kinda would like it more with some chrome bumpers, to be honest.

Yeah, I hate it when someone builds a custom like this and uses some enormous cowl induction hood to clear the air cleaner. Much nicer this way.

It's like a Cobra you can drive more than 6 days a year! Even if you don't live in a desert!

V8 ALL THE BRITISH THINGS.

In other news, the Draguar is apparently getting a built small block to match the overkill blower, the nitrous, and the hole in the hood. Draguar + MGBGTV8 = perfection.

The Draguar sounds like the subject of a Rob Zombie song.
